My New Navy Lifestyle

So We've Joined the Navy....

What the heck does that mean???

No one told us so many things...like the fact that this was a life change...not just a job! My entire world has changed. We've moved, twice in less than a year. We've had to make all new friends, see all new things and places. We've left things behind.

I cant get a job because day care is ridiculous for one, and his work schedule is haywire and on call for two. Some nights he has to stay and wax floors, others he has night school because he did bad on a test. So what if I got a job and I had to call my boss and say "Sorry, dude but I can't come in tonight because my husband has to wax the floors." I can just see how that would go over.

Ha.

Then, there's the fact that single mother-dom has already started. I thought, I can do this single mother thing for 6 months (wait, did I just say six? Ha ha) when he gets deployed every two years. YEAH RIGHT!! There's the late nights, the early mornings, the studying for tests, the duty weekends, the waxing floor hours you add on every now and again, the sheer exhaustion of all that which makes him tired all the time. So basically this throws everything on my plate.

So you say, you're a stay at home mom, so what?

Ha again. HA on you twice. HA HA HA HA I could laugh all day at you. Stay at home mom. Curse who ever came up with such a term. It should be called Work your ass off at home mom or Run Around Lika Nutcase Mom or some other such term. Stay at home mom sounds way too peaceful to describe my life. Like baking cookies and burning candles. I look forward to a day...

Here's my life:

I take care of my three little girls, ages 7, 2 1/2 and newborn. I go to college full time (and didnt take a break when she was born, like an idiot I went through the full semester while I had her in the hospital and all, go me!), I am writing a novel which might actually pay off someday, and I am trying to run a small business based off of a video game. I also clean my house and take care of our dog. Whew. I bet your tired just reading all of that. I got tired just writing it.

So that's how I spend my time. Its exhausting being a Navy Wife. Good luck to those who do it and try it and wish for it. And good luck to me, we all know I need it. LOL
